For the purpose of harmonic current limitation, equipment is classified as follows:

– balanced three-phase equipment;
6 F# \* T+ e& N5 z( Q! z, n– household appliances, excluding equipment identified as class D;
) p; a) l- e1 d+ D7 t) \/ c- I– tools, excluding portable tools; P8 X4 m. U& F
– dimmers for incandescent lamps;8 a; H& Q' Z2 k) `; k0 m3 ]% D0 C/ I
– audio equipment.

NOTE 1 Equipment that can be shown to have a significant effect on the supply system may be reclassified in a# H7 I1 T" i1 d+ X9 U( p5 [
future edition of the standard. Factors to be taken into account include:

– duration of use;$ S5 v: _8 d# j$ y
– simultaneity of use;; ? M$ l* ^( H; Y7 k
– power consumption;, P6 H+ e; ?5 Y
– harmonic spectrum, including phase.

– lighting equipment.

– personal computers and personal computer monitors;
