For the purpose of harmonic current limitation, equipment is classified as follows:; g$ K8 L8 P# l1 J6 H

– balanced three-phase equipment; C) b" p. p1 l! |$ G
– household appliances, excluding equipment identified as class D;
' q( R0 d4 ?. j5 i0 f– tools, excluding portable tools;, V) r# a8 z/ i% @
– dimmers for incandescent lamps; v4 p3 d2 }+ H" p0 Y
– audio equipment.3 r! a* Y$ M2 x) D# }
Equipment not specified in one of the three other classes shall be considered as class A

9 v( v, ^4 a' T" `2 rNOTE 1 Equipment that can be shown to have a significant effect on the supply system may be reclassified in a
( a3 a* `) K: m7 S1 |future edition of the standard. Factors to be taken into account include:5 g0 C8 K: |8 Z7 n' @( f
– number of pieces of equipment in use;# j" @+ b( R, @& l& C/ _
– duration of use;% E, @) P% {# J3 Q- E H
– simultaneity of use;

5 ^9 ^/ G9 r, {+ e– harmonic spectrum, including phase.

Class B:

Class C:
