For the purpose of harmonic current limitation, equipment is classified as follows:+ @6 c4 L$ ?* s

– balanced three-phase equipment;

– tools, excluding portable tools;
3 b( s& m1 N5 Y2 G– dimmers for incandescent lamps;
$ i' j- x& N9 q– audio equipment.1 o' U2 H4 h7 o' x3 X
Equipment not specified in one of the three other classes shall be considered as class A* o# I; S! J* A
equipment.

future edition of the standard. Factors to be taken into account include:

– portable tools;
