Question: In the Foreword of the second edition of IEC/EN 61558-1 the following statement
occurs: “This new edition of Part 1 is only to be used in conjunction with parts 2
based on this edition. The Parts 2 contain clauses of this Part 1 in order to
provide the relevant requirements for each type of transformers”. However, only
' h( b& @# V: x1 q  ~( [3 sections of Parts 2 (2-1, 2-2 and 2-7) are based on the second edition of part 1
today.
A) How do we deal with manufacturers that wish to use the second edition of
Part 1 for sections of Parts 2 that are not based on second edition of Part
2 L5 A( [: W- y0 x8 [9 z' r* {1? Can we use the second edition of Part 1?
B) How to treat a case where a transformer is covered by two different
# n3 D" \- U- C* ?  ssections of Parts 2, one linked to the second edition and the other linked
+ B8 [3 k# q2 a3 u. C6 ~+ Z& Zto the first edition of Part 1?
C) If so, what kind of TRF shall be used?
