PCB板上的标识问题
PCB板上的UL file no 和型号是否必须要标明，例如（E226038 ET-005) 需要包含以下四个内容。A:Recognize marking---认可标志RU
B:Recognize Company name or trade mark---认可公司名称或者商标
C：Type designation---UL型号
D:Factory ID(if any)---工厂代码（如果有）
对于认可产品，可以不标ul file no. For this, you need to check the description of its UL FUS procedures, and in the marking requirments, there should be indications.
Normally, the UL file No. is not an necessary element for PCB, but sometimes, the E No. was used to indicate the recognized company name, and similar. So totally depends on the description of its UL file... tsunn 发表于 2013-5-27 15:46 static/image/common/back.gif

UL does not ask to indicate the recognized mark-RU, only for the UL listed products, the "UL" with a circle symbol is necessary, but for "RU", it's not an necessary element.
And in most cases, the manufacturers select to indicate "RU" on their products, in order to easily show that their products are UL qualified, so unless there is a description in the UL FUS procedure that the "RU" is a must element, then no need to show "RU" on the products.
So finally, for UL recognized products, we need to check the marking requirements in the FUS procedure, and find out what should be marked, or not necessary to be marked, that's the only option.
But if the RU mark was indicated on the label/products, then the RU mark itself should comply with the description of the Recognized Marking Data Page in the FUS procedure... 本帖最后由 Andy.Yang 于 2013-5-27 16:10 编辑

You can check the attached for one PCB manufacturer, so the RU is not a necessary element, and the E No. is not a necessary element, I believe there is similar description in its UL FUS procedure...
But for UL listed products, the UL listing mark must be indicated on the label&products, and four elements shown below must be closely indicated:
1. "UL" with a circle;
2. The word "listed";
3. The control No.: normally four characters combined by numbers and/or letters;
4. The product identity.
And above could be found in the LMDP of its FUS procedure...

Actually, only the customer wants to know where the PWBs come from, but we have below options to find it out:
1. If the UL file No. is indicated, then directly know the PCB's manufacturer;
2. If the UL file No. is not indicated, then the trade mark and the recognized company name could be the root to find it out;
3. And finally, if the customer still can not dig it, then directly ask the supplier of the PCB, that's the only option.
And if I were you, I can 99% to find the PCB supplier information even there is UL file No. information and without directly asking the PCB's supplier...
