failure of the normal supply and the end of rated duration of operation are retained for the

The rated (V1) and the minimum (Vmin) voltages as declared by the ballast manufacturer are, b5 p7 A/ Q0 j- M; q
retained for the EBLF measurement. In this case the Vmin value is taken to be 0,85 times the
! j i; P% I( S/ Y! F, x6 h$ N0 b2 d) Qrated voltage (V1) unless specifically advised of a different value by the control gear

The lowest value of the values measured at 60 s and V1 or in steady conditions at Vmin shall, [" N; A" y6 k' z
be retained and shall reach at least the declared EBLF.; f) @* O$ B6 }. p. E; ^7 c
The value measured at 5 s and V1 shall reach at least 50 % of declared EBLF.
6 P3 O* j+ F/ |8 C5 i3 N9 tNOTE Replace 60 s by 0,5 s for ballasts declared for use in luminaires for high-risk task area lighting.
. `! Y1 r( f; H4 LAs declared EBLF must be reached after 0,5 s, measurements at 5 s are not considered.
}0 O! N) s) ?6 ^! K. ~Any test circuit corresponding to that of Figure 1 can be used to make the measurement of EBLF. The luminous flux of a lamp is usually measured with an integrating photometer. For ratio measurements of luminous fluxes, a suitable illuminance meter is sufficient as there is a close relationship between luminous flux and illumination at a fixed point. P6 a! D9 f2 a( t g- v
NOTE Other methods may apply for determining EBLF in particular methods which record permanently the luminous flux of the lamp associated to the ballast under test./ ^" S* S: g6 A/ E$ M
