6.14.1 General
( y( F. H# I4 A9 J) k1 E6.14.1.1 Non-current-carrying metal parts and metallized polymeric parts that are accessible during user6 h' W2 z4 F7 u9 S1 c U
maintenance or component replacement without the use of tools and that can involve the risk of shock! W1 o8 F* i2 r! O2 H8 I$ F+ K
shall be bonded to ground and shall comply with the bond impedance test of Clause 17.2. A luminaire with
5 u* a4 `: T6 bnon-current carrying parts bonded to ground shall have the resistance of the bonding circuit tested in
1 n- x8 X; W- Z: U, qaccordance with Clause 17.2.1. If the resistance exceeds 0.10 W, the bonding circuit shall be tested as

6.14.1.2 The following parts are not required to be bonded to ground:
: a2 p) y7 O& [$ N& N: L(a) the links of a metal chain used to support a pendant luminaire;
; [3 ~* \7 S# C3 \9 e ?(b) accessible non-current-carrying metal parts of luminaire components (for example,
$ t" D0 e/ _9 _. h9 U7 ^& Alampholders and switches) that are isolated from live parts; or, O" I6 x9 J# N8 M) u& w
(c) decorative parts, metal guards, and metal shades that do not enclose live parts.

interwoven through the chain from the luminaire to the canopy. Installation instructions shall be provided- b! z8 f( r+ _: z* o1 b/ p
in accordance with Table 20.1.1, Item 1.33.
