9.3.4.2.3 Results to be obtained
8 j- d) H/ m3 B1 D) s& wThe contactor, starter, or the combination starter, the combination switching device, the
4 ^ k# ^4 u" a' T f7 r+ J! uprotected starter or the protected switching device, shall be considered to have passed the
/ u/ k8 P6 m Y' J* B2 {tests at the prospective current "r" and, where applicable, the prospective current Iq, if the
' ]1 [4 X* i9 o3 s" afollowing conditions are met for the claimed type of co-ordination.
; J; W9 C) _1 vType "2" co-ordination (all devices):) c. ]4 u! Y) P7 K7 W% S
J No damage to the overload relay or other parts has occurred, except that welding of
7 }1 C9 P: v2 R, Tcontactor or starter contacts is permitted, if they are easily separated (e.g. by a
& Z2 l0 z, f n! f8 A0 Uscrewdriver) without significant deformation, but no replacement of parts is permitted
1 N# u3 q8 w7 ?3 y! b' J Kduring the test, except that, in the case of fuse protection, all fuse-links shall be replaced.1 J7 ]( ~$ e1 p
In the case of welded contacts as described above, the functionality of the device shall, L" U( ]$ V) [, w$ t, ]+ J0 S$ F
be verified by carrying out 10 operating cycles under the conditions of Table 8 for the. G6 a" }, |; F$ E4 _+ w* m" K
applicable utilization category.* A. W! }& T# Q) W: l8 J, K
The text "if they are easily separated (e.g. by a screwdriver) without significant deformation"4 g& }4 m" y* o$ p& ^) x9 D. b K
shall be interpreted as follows:0 s" L; _( y$ M9 n2 |3 b! T( x
"Easily separated" means a separation realised on site for example by:/ A4 {, s, D% m: l% Q8 B5 t
- Energizing the coil of the contactor
2 Q: J# L& o% K$ f/ }- Using a tool (eg. a screwdriver) for separating the welded contact or for moving an operating

It is also allowed to remove covers or housing of the contactor according to the instruction of
! U4 O+ i6 Q- I- G' a* d, Bthe manufacturer.5 ~* f0 t' M' Z4 ]* X }
"Without significant deformation" means a deformation without impairing the insulation of the
1 L( J# u4 u. Kcontactor (see d) and i) of this Clause) and successfully performing the 10 operation cycle
