Question:
The standard reads: "Socket-outlets are tested using a test plug with brass pins having the minimum specified dimensions. … For this test, the temperature rise is measured on the terminals."
Two representative pictures of possible measuring points (A = termination of contact tube; B = contact tube itself) in non-rewirable socket-outlets are shown below. Which point should the temperature rise be measured?

Decision:
The temperature rise shall be measured on the termination of the contact tube (point A).
