Question:
7 W8 I* V! q. }* G  lWhat should be the criteria for accepting a manufacturer’s declaration for

Decision:
It was agreed that although manufacturer 's declaration may well be taken into consideration,
however testing must be performed to ensure that requirements of IEC61010-1 is met.
Explanatory Notes:
* t3 q  i) V6 Z1 W: F0 E; V+ XIn IEC61010-1, there is no requirement to simulate the ageing process of critical components
such as the mains / isolating transformers.
It should be noted that after each single fault condition test, where necessary, the required
1 y+ r- |4 f" q7 d2 g( B' Qhigh voltage test must also be applied to ensure that at least basic insulation exists.
Note that under compliance criteria there is no reference to 'Declaration by manufacturer'.
