turned to a position that results in tip over. When the shade is supported by an adjustable harp, or clips

c) Other provision for loading;

132.4.2 For the stability test of a portable luminaire as described in 132.4.1, each shelf or other provision

a) Adjusted to the position that results in least stability; and % u G7 a& L4 l1 o3 u8 M

c) Loaded with a 15 pound (6.81 kg) weight secured to prevent movement and centered on the / K6 v( t8 r# P4 p
highest shelf or rack.

0 l( G6 L- n7 g( N6 p2 Y18 Portable Luminaires Having Play Value 1 \+ g9 Q5 S' \" C7 I) n
18.1 A portion of a portable luminaire that has play value for children eight years or less in age and is
' Q5 i+ N ?, H5 B3 X; ~intended to be removed from the unit and played with (for example a plush doll not integral with the H3 Q! h9 N" ?: R# L3 ^
luminaire) shall comply with the Federal Regulations for toys and children’s articles. It is not possible to
$ R) `4 M; P0 t2 n( Ospecify the conditions of tests for all constructions; however, the tests shall include evaluation of impact, - U( Y P4 |0 D; r9 [# F2 C
bite, flexure, torque, tension, compression, sharp point, sharp edge, and small parts. / R; O' W) x# u6 \: F5 {2 d @
18.2 The portable luminaire shall not overturn when tested in accordance with the Stability Test, Section ; r1 l5 ?* E) F6 _: z
132, with a 15 degree inclined plane.
