Compliance is checked by the following test. The plug-ballast/transformer or mains socketoutlet-
( i& ?, L6 [: k" q& ?mounted luminaire is inserted, as in normal use, into a fixed socket-outlet pivoted about

+ x9 a9 Z$ ?9 T- w, N: uengagement face of the socket-outlet.
$ ?% \& h$ y! i, x1 DThe additional torque which has to be applied to the socket-outlet to maintain the engagement

socket has shuttered pin receptacles that are uncovered by the action of inserting the earth
