Decision:
The standard states these symbols are reserved for mains disconnection devices, the symbols
' F9 B0 |; n+ w  z, Fshould therefore, be used only for this purpose. However, these symbols are allowed for
+ h1 E1 a+ H; f2 y) e/ T" j2 t8 sother use in other IEC standards and some Test laboratories therefore, exercise discretion on
/ c9 ^. L/ e  Y- sthis matter provided the mains separation device is clearly indicated either on the unit or in
% [2 p8 K: [% e9 `# i" Lthe handbook.

It is likely that the use of 0,1 symbols will be reviewed across all IEC documents and,
pending this review, it is important that the mains disconnection device is clearly identified
