% p" D& B# P2 XThe original RoHS Directive 2002/95/EC will be repealed starting from January 3, 2013, and EU countries must update the new RoHS Directive 2011/65/EU (RoHS 2.0) to their local laws prior to January 2, 2013. Under the new Directive, from the date of repeal of the old Directive, all products covered by the CE mark also must, before entering the EU market, meet the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Energy-related Products (ErP) and RoHS 2.0 Directive requirements.

In addition to requiring the above-mentioned electrical and electronic equipment to meet the Low Voltage Directive (LVD), Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Energy-related Products (ErP) and RoHS 2.0 Directive requirements before the CE mark is affixed and a Declaration of Conformity is issued, RoHS 2.0 also requires the manufacturer to produce and retain supporting technical documentation for ten years.8 j+ V3 h( a- T0 {

RoHS 2.0 requires that a product must be accompanied by supporting technical documentation which shall be retained for 10 years. If it is required the EU, importers, retailers and distributors also must provide such documentation to prove the conformity of their products
