The materials shall be classified HB, HB40 or HB75 (HB = horizontal burning) in accordance4 F( v# A' y' y* c8 ?

8.4.1 A material classified HB shall conform to one of the following criteria:% v9 d' h6 i) P# C$ j% @
a) it shall not visibly burn with a flame after the ignition source is removed;' y6 V- o# {4 F- P. G; y
b) if the test specimens continue to burn with a flame after removal of the ignition source, the' R$ }) A6 R2 w; ]% W
flame front shall not pass the 100 mm mark;
$ C$ O5 U+ D0 v% |2 [" pc) if the flame front passes the 100 mm mark, it shall not have a linear burning rate exceeding2 H, w: i0 E4 c. G8 T6 ]* n
40 mm/min for a thickness of 3,0 mm to 13,0 mm or a burning rate not exceeding1 j6 Q7 t6 z- o- o: a
75 mm/min for a thickness of less than 3,0 mm;
& d! @! C) q+ bd) if the linear burning rate does not exceed 40 mm/min for tests with 3,0 mm ± 0,2 mm
" \2 u) @% L9 {' Mthickness, it shall automatically be accepted down to a 1,5 mm minimum thickness.
