WASHINGTON, D.C. - The U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission and Health Canada, in cooperation with the firm named below, today announced a voluntary recall of the following consumer product. Consumers should stop using recalled products immediately unless otherwise instructed. Name of product: Hungry Figures and Hungry Magnets p' \) N& s' C; o& y! b
Units: About 420,000 in the United States and 25,000 in Canada& S. p% X; o z
Distributor: Weight Watchers Intl., of New York, N.Y.4 n% Y1 | f; t& n6 x5 e
Manufacturer: Shanghai Oriland Toys Co. Ltd, of China( T4 I8 q& ?) {
Hazard: Sewing needles have been found in the stuffing of the Hungry Figures, posing a puncture hazard to consumers.
, G" X* `0 b* A4 m7 I/ G F" aIncidents/Injuries: Weight Watchers has received two reports from company employees of a sewing needle being found in two Hungry Figures. No injuries have been reported.
B$ r5 B8 ~9 ]Description: The Hungry Figures and Hungry Magnets have orange plush exteriors. The Hungry Figure is about 6 inches long and the Hungry Magnet is about 4 inches long.
