The contactor, starter, or the combination starter, the combination switching device, the& o: ?5 ] ]$ N* Z& O+ j) m
protected starter or the protected switching device, shall be considered to have passed the
' k6 G7 }# l; U: } i8 dtests at the prospective current "r" and, where applicable, the prospective current Iq, if the3 [- P. C# p) ~* ~5 O9 I) z
following conditions are met for the claimed type of co-ordination.) q2 o \$ G; F; K
Type "2" co-ordination (all devices):
; U1 {2 s9 V5 A+ V1 x6 KJ No damage to the overload relay or other parts has occurred, except that welding of
5 P0 K+ z$ h8 ]contactor or starter contacts is permitted, if they are easily separated (e.g. by a# A j9 E& G. s2 ^9 O3 R, P/ q6 D
screwdriver) without significant deformation, but no replacement of parts is permitted
3 ~6 E- |: o+ b4 V! ?$ }' Pduring the test, except that, in the case of fuse protection, all fuse-links shall be replaced.
3 l6 _# ]4 y, V OIn the case of welded contacts as described above, the functionality of the device shall- d" ]+ V- p4 S( E! H# r
be verified by carrying out 10 operating cycles under the conditions of Table 8 for the
2 D+ o' b. u- x+ Lapplicable utilization category.
8 u: M( l; I7 w' \6 r7 Y# X$ _8 qThe text "if they are easily separated (e.g. by a screwdriver) without significant deformation"7 \ v9 ]( W- x* F% M) o" j* M! p" Y
shall be interpreted as follows:
6 y# H: O% O) y"Easily separated" means a separation realised on site for example by:8 T" j- B$ F3 `* J
- Energizing the coil of the contactor8 S/ m1 J; f3 J4 i3 k/ X
- Using a tool (eg. a screwdriver) for separating the welded contact or for moving an operating! W. _8 ~4 p/ x( ~
means.
+ H: U3 [' H/ Z+ G3 lIt is also allowed to remove covers or housing of the contactor according to the instruction of
' e+ J2 @8 f% Gthe manufacturer.
' H' S) ^% x/ E; g; r" Z"Without significant deformation" means a deformation without impairing the insulation of the
