Question:
Should the rivets that serve as electrical as well as mechanical connections be protected against loosening
' K8 b& F) D" Teven if they are not subject to torsion effect in normal use (e.g. rivets intended to fix ballasts).
Decision:
+ [1 T8 F" x( @  V( V3 G  ?. p/ IIt was agreed that earthing connections shall be adequately locked against accidental loosening, either by:
- at least one screw with a spring washer, or one rivet with no circular shape;
  k- Y6 q* U+ x% P/ i- two rivets in case of circular shank according to sub-clause 4.11.3 of IEC 60598-1.
