8.22 Test specifications of non-separable thin sheet material$ h6 Y5 t* ]' n

Three test samples, each individual sample consisting of three or more layers of non-separable4 \) P2 N c9 a1 [- N
thin sheet material forming REINFORCED INSULATION, are used. One sample at a time is fixed to; z6 K" j3 r+ s0 L# W2 U
the mandrel of the test fixture (Figure 14) as shown in Figure 15.4 U. A! `' [$ V8 d. N; K2 d3 Z% f6 o

After this preconditioning, a sheet of metal foil, 0,035 mm ± 0,005 mm thick, at least 200 mm 0 C( w# e" L0 D+ [9 tlong, is placed along the surface of the sample, hanging down on each side of the mandrel$ w8 `3 u U/ I
(see Figure 16). The surface of the foil in contact with the sample shall be conductive, not( h! \$ T' h) p& r$ s H9 h
oxidised or otherwise insulated. The foil is positioned so that its edges are not less than 18 mm' U# w8 ?0 S# \; i& F
from the edges of the sample (see Figure 17). The foil is then tightened by two equal weights, 0 f4 P2 T" l2 a% X% t9 I' sone at each end, using appropriate clamping devices.8 e" g& |' j' V/ w7 ~. Q
While the mandrel is in its final position, and within the 60 s following the final positioning, a) E! E* t0 ~2 V9 O
dielectric strength test is applied between the mandrel and the metal foil in accordance with6 u9 v0 v8 U5 ?
