UL工厂检查问题，关于线材方面
小弟这是第一次UL工厂检查，产品内用的线材（机箱内用的数据线与电源线）有供应商没有Wiring Harness，而且在我司库存还在有大把这样线材.请问下，在工厂检查时候，检查员应该不会对库存的东西检查吧，只检查产品，产品的一致性，如果在产品的时候，我只要能拿出线材的证书包括Wiring Harness证书就OK了？
那肯定不行，一定要有要让供应商贴Wiring Harness标签，才能证明你的产品符合。 会检查库存物料和成品的。

UL audior will check five areas:
1. Production line to check the specified products with the UL marking
2. Store area for final products to check whether there are products with UL mark which are not authorized by UL
3. Store area for components to check and reconfirm the components whether they can comply with the procudure's requirements. for example the wiring harness, the UL label must be attached on these harness, if not , VN will be issued. be careful.
4. Test lab. to verify whether the tests can be done correctly.
5. Shiping Area to check if you are shiping some products without the UL's authorization.
By the way, for wiring harness, I must tell you there are two kinds of case:
a) if your factory buy the wires and then process into wiring harness, the the UL758 label must be attached on the wires, normally the label is blue ;
b) if your factory directly buy the wiring harnesses, then the UL746 label must be attached, and normally, the label is orange.
pls kindly remind all the related guys to keep those labels, do not discard those labels, even if you've already used out all the wires or wiring harnesses, if you discard and do not keep those labels, a VN also will be issued and 500$ will be fined...
Anyway, in order to avoid some urgent cases, pls kindly prepare for some cigarrets or cash, hua,(kidding....) Another thing, I must tell you, for power supply cords and cord sets, the UL746 label is not correct, UL 746 and UL758 labels are only for internal wiring/wiring harnesses, for power supply cords, normally UL817 labels should be used, and the label is lazer label... 非常感谢 Andy.yang 耐心解释。。。
