This recall involves the oversized plastic toy nails that were sold with the following Little Tikes children's products.
Electric Project Workshop: Model number 0914 and UPC 0-50743-00914-3.
Little Handiworker Workhorse: Model number 0920/612237 and UPC 0-50743-10920-1 or UPC 0-50743-61223-7.
Home Improvements 2-Sided Workshop: Model number 4146 and UPC 0-50743-04146-4.
Swirlin' Sawdust Workshop: Model number 440Z and UPC 0-50743-38540-7.
Black Pickup Truck with Tools: Model 4028 and UPC 0-50743-04028-3.
The plastic toy nails are either red or blue, and are 8cm (3 1/4 inches) long by 3cm (1 1/4 inches) in diameter. The nails have a round head. Approximately 3cm (1 1/4 inches) below the head is a plastic ridge, slightly smaller than the nail head and about 2.5cm (1inch) in diameter.
Hazard Identified
The oversized plastic toy nails can pose a choking hazard to young children.
Little Tikes has received one report of a hospitalization in the United States that resulted from an 11-month child who choked when the toy nail became forcefully lodged in his throat; he made a full recovery.
Health Canada has not received any reports of incidents or injuries related to the use of these products.

Corrective Action
Consumers should immediately take the toy nails away from children and contact Little Tikes for a free replacement toy nail.

Number Sold
Approximately 11, 800 of the recalled products were sold at Sears and Toys 'R' Us stores, as well as other retailers across Canada, and online at www.littletikes.com.
Time Period Sold
The recalled products were sold from March 1994 to June 2009.
