Question:Without any flammability category information (evidence) for coating of varistor; is it acceptable to use heat shrinkable tube (flammability category of V-0) over the body of varistor. (Similar flammability information to VDR is proposed to coming Ed8 to IEC 60065, refer clause 14.12. Flammability of V-0 is proposed to be suitable)
Decision: Tubing with suitable flammability category can be accepted. Tubing must be listed as a critical component.
