Question:
Does the wording:
"Fuse-links, fusing resistors and thermal releases affecting the safety of the apparatus
shall not operate during the test"
mean that:
a) if a fuse-link, fusing resistor, or thermal release operates during the test, it shall be
defeated and the test continued.
b) In amplifiers, electronic protection circuits activated by voltage, current, or temperature
sensing shall be defeated if they operate during normal operation ( 1/8 maximum output)
Decision:

sensing shall be defeated if they operate during normal operation ( 1/8 maximum output)
" If a fuse-link, fusing resistor or thermal release operates during the test which is under
normal operating conditions than the equipment does not fulfil the requirements."
