Question:
Can small safety related components (e.g. optical-couplers) be identified with just a code if
the space on the component is too small for both the marking of the manufacturer and type?
Would it be enough to only have information about manufacturer and type on the packing?
Decision:
Safety related components shall be marked with a trade mark (logo) and an identification
number or code. For a component without 3rd party certification which is dedicated for use in
one or more specific models the identification may be in a form of a code
