Question:
Do you consider that Pluggable Type A multi-way (x4 or x6) power blocks containing
Surge Suppression components are covered by the scope of IEC 60950?
Decision:
If the Power Block is an integral part of a product, subject to assessment under IEC
60950, then it could also be assessed to the same standard.
If the power distribution unit or power strip is a general use device intended for use with a
variety of products, then the appropriate general use IEC standard shall be used.
