Question:
The note recommends that both supply conductors are fused. How is this recommendation applied?
Decision:
The standard allows the use of a single fuse and therefore, under CB rules this is accepted.
Explanation:
Where a supply is not polarised then equipment employing earthing for protection should be provided with a fuse in both mains conductors.
Evaluators are requested to draw the attention of submittors to this situation and make an informative note in the report as appropriate.
