Question:
Certain motor controllers have difficulty meeting 0.5mA under normal condition
and 3.5mA in SFC. Is it possible to have two ways of permanent protective
grounding so that in SFC still connection to PE is assured (for permanent
connections only).
Decision:
Follow IEC61010-1 requirements.
Explanatory Notes:
The requirement for protective earthing is described under sub-clause 6.5. It should be
noted that under normal and single fault conditions accessible parts shall meet requirements.
For permanently connected equipment the protective earth must not be disconnected as a
single fault.
