Question:
1- Does laser systems for marking of materials come under the scope of IEC 61010-1?
2- Does laser welding system come under the scope of IEC 61010-1?
Decision:
It was agreed that for both questions 1 &2 above, the laser system in question comes under
the scope of IEC 61010-1 when these are declared for use in a Laboratory, Measurement and
Control environment.
