Question:
1. What criteria do laboratories employ to determine acceptable limits for gases?
2. What techniques do laboratories employ to detect and identify dangerous gases?
Decision:
It was agreed that National Occupational Threshold Limits apply. The limits apply to gases released both during normal and single fault conditions.
NOTE: It was mentioned that this sub-clause may not appear in the Second
Edition of IEC 61010-1.
