Question:
Screws, which serve as electrical as well as mechanical connections shall be locked against loosening.
We have tested a decorative luminaire, consisting of a base part (containing a SELV transformer) and a
track to which two luminaires are fitted.
The track is fitted to the base by means of two screws, however the connection has no locking device and
even this construction does not accept a locking device.
Can we accept this connection or should we require a different construction?
Decision:
This construction is not acceptable.
