Question:
1) In case a luminaire has decorative wooden parts in contact with current carrying parts, can it be
accepted?
2) Can wood be used as insulating material? (for class III luminaires too)?
Decision:
1) Not acceptable.
2) Wood can be accepted as supplementary insulation, if all relevant requirements of the standard are
met.
