Question:
In the § 20.11.2, it is stated that the cable is subjected 50 times to a pull of 30 N. Is this test applicable to
the class III lighting chains?
Decision:
The standard does not make any differentiation between class II or class III lighting chains. The
pull test should be applied even to the class III lighting chain. After the tests the conductors shall not
have been displaced by more than 2 mm.
