Question:
What values shall be used as limits for the temperature measured on the mounting surface during the
bridging test? Is the test considered normal or abnormal operation?
Decision:
According to the referred Tables of IEC 60598-1 (12.1 – 12.2), the bridging test is considered a normal
operation test. Only the cable and the lampholder have to be measured.
