Question:
The IEC 60598-2-22/1997 states: "A.4.1 the battery shall conform to IEC 60285 for cells intended for
permanent charge at elevated temperatures". Shall we apply now such requirement and request of the
manufacturer a marking in compliance with IEC 60285 (T marking)?
Decision:
No. The declaration from battery manufacturer can be acceptable according to clause A.7.
