Subject:
Fixation of the gauge
Key words:
- Gauge data sheet
- Rotation
- Axial movement
To be approved at the 49th CTL Plenary Meeting, in 2012
Question:
According to the data sheet the gauge should be held in position. Does this mean that it is held in position
to prevent rotation and axial movement or does this only mean preventing rotation and by axial movement
the most onerous position should be looked for?
Decision:
Most unfavourable position should be applied. Steps to test:
1) The rotation must be fixed.
2) During the test for contact, the lampholder can be moved in any direction with a reasonable force
applied.
