Question:
For some constructions like transformers and small pumps, we have electrical connections (crimped) which are inside a full plastic case filled with insulating material.
When the current is > 0.2A, does clause 30.2.3 apply? If yes, describe how to do the test?
Decision:
If the case material is within 3 mm from the connection, both the material and the resin are required to be tested according to 30.2.3.2. In this case, the test shall be performed with both materials joined together and from inside to outside according to the connection position.
