Question:
A luminaire is constructed for use with a supporting method as principally specified for “extra low voltage lighting system for filament lamps” (IEC 60598-2-23). This luminaire is for 230 V. Can we agree that the appliance is primarily tested according to IEC 60598-1 and relevant requirements of IEC 60598-2-23?
Decision:
The luminaire cannot be accepted as a system according to IEC 60598-1; only one luminaire with clear connection can be certified.
