3.2
60598-1(ed.3);am1 & 60598-1(ed.4);am1 & 60598-1(ed.5) & 60598-1(ed.6);am1 & 60598-1(ed.7)
Question:
1) Is it acceptable to have a marking plate fixed to the supply cord of a small luminaire (consisting of a stem or tube and a lighting head) if, there is no good place to put the marking required by clause 3.2 or to include the marking would impair the aesthetic of the luminaire (eg. glass luminaire)?
2) Is it acceptable to have the markings on a stick-on label that is fastened to the flexible cord (close to the mains plug) with “Y” and “Z” attachment luminaires (e.g. candelabrums)?
Decision:
The principle is acceptable for “Y” and “Z” attachments.
