Question:
Use of steel as a current carrying part when provided with an electroplated coating of zinc, whose thickness is dependent on degree of protection IP of the enclosure:
If the enclosure withstands the relevant tests with respect to harmful ingress of water, is the inside of the enclosure considered as dry environment or are the environment condition inside and the outside the enclosure with respect to corrosion the same?
Decision:
The same requirement shall be applied inside as well outside the enclosure of the appliance.
